r.e. governance: During Harold Wilsons second term as prime minister the Civic Trust obtained a grant from the EU and developed the Pennine Farm Museum which opened in 1975...The museum was open 7 days a week in the beginning but this gradually reduced, someone who lived at the bottom of Old Bank kept it going but I cant remember his name... By 1990 the owner, Ian Beaumont, wanted to sell it so it closed and all the contents went to Bankfield museum. Eventually Calderdale took it over and by 1986 it was only open on Sunday or by appointment When museum closed collections went to Bankfield Museum (mm155) |
