For a quick search over the main museum attributes, type a search term into the box on the left and press Enter or the Q button. You can see the results as a list, on a map, or by each museum’s details: use the tabs at the top of the results page to switch between views.

For a more precise search, you can define your own search query:

• choose a search category from the Select attribute drop-down list
• select the Comparison criterion
• enter a Value
• press Submit

Again, you can see the results as a list, on a map, or by each museum’s details: use the tabs at the top of the results page to switch between views. If required:

• use the Add Filter button to narrow your search
• use Select output attributes to change the information displayed for each museum in the List view.

Note: Search queries return records on all museums. To search for museums that are currently open use the filter ‘Year exists’, use the drop down menu to select ‘in’, and add the current year to the box marked value.
